Penn State students are invited to the Ross Student Farm on Wednesday, August 30 for a Campus Food Systems Kick-Off! The event will last from 5-7 pm and will give new and returning students a chance to see what kind of food system engagement opportunities await them on campus and professionally. There will be a meet and greet with several student orgs that focus on different aspects of food systems, interactive tours of the Student Farm, crafts like nature mandalas and sun prints, a raffle for Student Farm Club merch, and farm-fresh food catered by a local woman-owned business. If you’re interested in food system topics like food waste, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, food justice, or food insecurity, be sure to stop by the Campus Food Systems Kick-Off!
