It’s back! Join us to relax and enjoy lush farm greenery and fresh seasonal flavors on the longest day of the year!

The Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm at Penn State will host its fourth annual Summer Solstice Celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The farm is located near the intersection of Big Hollow and Fox Hollow roads. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Two local food vendors, Brazilian Munchies and Gita Nagari Eco Farm, will offer dishes made with farm-fresh produce grown at the Student Farm. Local live music will be performed by Canary and Dogwood Company. Guests of all ages will enjoy activities such as corn hole and face painting. Student Farm merchandise also will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection, a picnic blanket or lawn chair to sit on, and wear closed-toe shoes. The farm also asks that guests not bring pets to prevent damage to crops currently in production. Casual tours will be offered throughout the evening.

Both Brazilian Munchies and Gita Nagari accept credit card for food purchased. Student Farm merch is available for sale with cash or check only. In the unfortunate case of poor weather conditions, guests should check the Student Farm Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.
