Monday, November 9 from 7-8:30pm EST

The Student Farm and the Indigenous Peoples Student Association (IPSA) are excited to co-host a virtual event titled Native American Food Ways: Sustainable Agriculture and Cuisines Across Cultures on Monday, November 9 from 7-8:30 pm! Students and community members of every interest and background are invited to attend this exciting and thought-provoking discussion.

The distinguished panelists for the event will be Dr. Lois Ellen Frank and Taylor Keen. Dr. Frank is an award-winning cookbook writer and owner of Red Mesa Cuisine, and Taylor Keen is the founder of Sacred Seed, a non-profit dedicated to preserving the seeds of important Indigenous foods. The speakers will share their experiences and knowledge to provide insight into the connections between sustainable agriculture, seed saving, cuisine, Indigenous heritage, culture and sovereignty.

This eye-opening discussion will help participants honor Indigenous heritage in their daily lives, as well as gain an understanding of the powerful connection between land and people within Indigenous culture.
