The Student Farm is hosting a free insect identification and soil sampling workshop on Saturday, August 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This workshop, led by Penn State Entomology Professor, Dr. Mary Barbercheck, will address insect identification, pest management, and discussions about the effects of various insects on home gardens. Dr. Barbercheck will conduct soil sampling activities to test for microbes and lead discussions about the impact of various pests on soil.
